Our most successful hubs are those that share the responsibilities (and joys!) of leadership. Many hands make light work! To help you effectively, a hub co-leader or delegate will need access to the same tools on their dashboard as you have.
Assigning a delegate is easy, and it is part of your Hub Leader Toolkit. Whether you need to add a new delegate or co-owner to your hub, or change an existing role, you can do so using the Hub Logistics button in your Hub Manager Tool Kit.
Watch the video below OR follow the steps written out below to learn how to do this.
How to Add a Delegate (Written Instructions)
In advance, invite a volunteer to help you! Find out their talents and interests and match them with one of the hub's essential tasks. Then update their role to Delegate, using the instructions below. When you assign a volunteer baker to the delegate role, their volunteer dashboard automatically updates to display the Hub Leader Toolkit, which they can use to complete their role.
Navigate to https://communityloaves.org/dashboard/ and scroll down to your Hub Manager Toolkit.
Click "Hub Logistics"

Scroll down to the Delegates section and click "Change"

Find the volunteer you wish to promote and select either "Leader" (for a new co-leader), or "Delegate" (for a new delegate). Choose "None" to remove someone's Leader or Delegate status.
Select roles for the delegate or co-leader. This doesn't change the tools they will be able to use, but it will show up on the hub's delegate list and can help hub leaders (yourself or future hub leaders), know who to call on for which tasks.
Once you've selected roles for the delegate, scroll to the bottom of the pop up box and click "Submit" to confirm.
